HILTON WORDLWIDE HOLDINGS will open nine hotels across the U.S. and India in the third quarter, with three properties in the U.S. and six in India. The openings include lifestyle, luxury, business and premium economy brands.
The U.S. additions strengthen Hilton's presence in leisure, urban and extended-stay markets, while the India openings introduce new brands and expand its presence in business and tourism destinations, the company said in a statement.
The U.S. pipeline includes Canopy by Hilton Deer Valley in Park City, Utah, with direct access to the Jordanelle Express Gondola, the statement said. Tempo by Hilton San Diego Del Mar in California will add 127 rooms near Del Mar Village, Torrey Pines State Beach and the University of California San Diego. Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix Mesa Airport in Arizona will offer apartment-style suites near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
Hilton expanded its lifestyle portfolio as Curio Collection and Tapestry Collection each surpassed 200 hotels worldwide.
India's openings are led by the Asia Pacific debut of Spark by Hilton, the statement said. Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute will open with 88 rooms near Calangute Beach, followed by Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road near the city's technology corridor. The Spark launch follows Hilton's partnership with Olive Hospitality to open 150 Spark hotels in India.
Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Tech Village will add 211 rooms in the Embassy Tech Village business district.
Hilton will also open Slohh by Roach Bengaluru, Curio Collection by Hilton, its first Curio Collection lifestyle hotel in India, and The Den Bengaluru, LXR Hotels & Resorts, its first LXR property in the country. The India pipeline also includes Hilton Lucknow Gomti Nagar, a 140-room hotel with meeting and event facilities.
In April, Hilton reported higher first-quarter earnings as systemwide comparable RevPAR increased 3.6 percent on a currency-neutral basis for the three months ended March 31 from a year earlier.
