SAYAJI HOTELS LTD. added seven properties in India between April and August. The additions bring 440 keys to its portfolio.

The properties span seven cities in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Sikkim. They operate under several brands and formats, including Enrise by Sayaji, Effotel by Sayaji, The Forest Chapter by Sayaji and Amber, a unit of Sayaji, PTI reported.

Mumbai, Maharashtra-based Sayaji was founded by Sajid Dhanani in 1982.

“Over the next five years, our focus will be on building Sayaji into a stronger, more contemporary hospitality brand with greater relevance in India,” said Sumera Dhanani, Sayaji’s corporate director of business development. “We want to strengthen guest connections and expand our focus on food and beverage, banqueting, events and experiential hospitality.”

Pawandeep Mago, Sayaji’s director of development, said Sayaji would focus on carefully evaluating new hotel opportunities rather than expanding for the sake of growth.

“Every project begins with understanding the market, demand potential, land and location dynamics, project economics and the operating model required to make the property viable,” Mago said.

In 2026, it added properties in Bareilly, Latur, Bhopal, Sangli, Sasan Gir, Vadodara, Junagadh, Amravati, Gangtok and Somnath. Its 2025 additions included properties in Calangute, Navi Mumbai, Neemuch, Vidisha, Khed Shivapur, Panaji, Madhai, Chandrapur and Kalaburagi.

Sayaji also plans to open two more Enrise by Sayaji hotels in Gandhidham and Kufri.

Separately, Spree Hospitality announced plans to add eight properties in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, with most expected to open within six months.
