- Olive Hospitality to open 150 Spark hotels.
- More hotels are planned in Indian cities, including Rajkot.
HILTON WORLDWIDE HOLDINGS launched its Spark brand in India with two properties in Bengaluru and Goa, marking its Asia-Pacific debut. This follows a partnership with India’s Olive Hospitality to open 150 Spark hotels in the country.
Hilton and Olive plan to expand Spark to additional cities over the next few years, including Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mathura, Nashik, Pune and Rajkot, the companies said in a statement.
“India continues to be one of Hilton’s most exciting growth markets in Asia-Pacific, fueled by travel demand, consumer confidence and demand for branded stays,” said Alan Watts, Hilton’s president for Asia-Pacific. “The debut of Spark by Hilton marks a milestone in our effort to serve more guests across stay types, while growing at scale with the right partners. Together with Olive Hospitality, we are bringing a brand built for today’s traveler — simple, reliable and rooted in Hilton’s hospitality.”
The 82-room Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road hotel targets the corporate and MICE segment. In Goa, the 64-room Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute targets leisure travellers, group bookings, corporate offsites and travel agency demand.
The hotels are adapted to local traveler needs. They will feature DIY dosa stations, chai carts, gym facilities, in-room dining in select locations and vending machines with chargers, batteries and snacks. Technology features include digital check-in, Digital Key, service requests and Hilton Honors app integration.
Kahraman Yigit, co-founder and CEO of Olive Hospitality, said Spark by Hilton could redefine value-driven hospitality in India.
“What makes the brand relevant for this region is its ability to scale through conversions, backed by Hilton’s global recognition,” he said. “The model is designed to unlock growth where branded supply remains limited, while offering owners a faster pathway into an institutional hospitality ecosystem and ensuring guests benefit from Hilton’s global standards and loyalty program. Together with Hilton, we are helping shape a more organized mid-market segment for India’s next generation of travelers.”
Spark by Hilton, launched in 2023, has more than 240 hotels in operation and nearly 230 under development in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and other markets.
Separately, in April, Hilton contracted Regenta Hotels Pvt. Ltd. to franchise and open 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels in India by 2035. The hotels will be developed in western and southern India, including Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
