"Both holidays and lifespaces businesses have tremendous potential,” said Anish Shah, Mahindra Group managing director and group CEO. “As we move into the next phase of growth, we have been evaluating how to harness the synergies between them to further strengthen the growth trajectory. In this context, we are pleased to announce a dedicated strategic focus on holidays and lifespaces sectors aimed at accelerating growth and realising operational synergies across these identified growth gems.”
Mahindra Lifespaces has been a strong performer in the group’s portfolio. Since fiscal year 2020, residential pre-sales have grown fivefold, from about $73.4 million to $367.07 million. The business also moved from losses to a profit of about $31.46 million in fiscal year 2026.
Mahindra Holidays, the group’s hospitality arm, also expanded during the period. Its membership rose to more than 300,000 vacation ownership members, while it added more than 1,700 rooms since fiscal year 2020. The business also expanded into leisure hospitality beyond vacation ownership.
The group said several growth gems businesses grew more than five times the expected rate over the past five years. It expects these businesses to continue growing, the statement said.
Last year, Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahindra Group, announced plans to increase its room count to 10,000 by fiscal year 2030.
