Gaurav Mudgal is now managing director of Black Rock Hotels & Resorts. His appointment comes as the company expands into luxury resorts and destination hotels.

He will oversee strategic growth, business development, owner relations and operational performance, the company said in a statement.

Mudgal brings experience in pre-opening commercial strategy, revenue management, sales, distribution and marketing. Before joining Black Rock, he held leadership roles at Fairmont Jaipur and InterContinental Hotels Group.

"Black Rock has witnessed remarkable growth over the last few years,” said Mudgal. “Our focus will be on expanding our portfolio of luxury resorts, destination hotels and experiential hospitality assets while strengthening our management solutions for hotel owners. We want to partner with owners from the earliest stages of development, helping them create commercially successful hospitality assets through strong planning, revenue strategy and operational excellence.”

Black Rock Hotels is a Jaipur-based hotel management company cofounded by Anshul Bhargava and Amit Sareen. The company manages hotels and resorts in India, including properties in Pushkar, Jaipur, Ranthambore and Delhi NCR. It is also expanding its presence in Rajasthan and other leisure destinations.

Bhargava said Mudgal's understanding of commercial strategy and owner expectations makes him the right fit to lead the company's next phase of expansion.

“As we continue to scale our portfolio with larger hospitality assets and destination-led developments, his leadership will be instrumental in delivering long-term value for our partners and strengthening BlackRock’s position in the market,” he said.

Separately, Rajasthan is preparing a summer tourism campaign to attract visitors and promote year-round travel across the state.
