Sanjay Dubri National Park is known for its sal forests and tiger population, with Bandhavgarh and Kanha also nearby. The destination is expected to become more accessible as road connectivity improves with Prayagraj, Jabalpur, Rewa and Varanasi.
The retreat will include event spaces and activities focused on wildlife, nature, wellness and local experiences. It will cater to wildlife enthusiasts, experiential travelers, families and social gatherings, ITC said in a statement.
“Wildlife destinations are becoming more important for experiential travel,” said Anil Chadha, ITC managing director. “Sanjay Dubri offers an opportunity to develop a hospitality experience connected to its natural surroundings.”
Pankaj Phulwani, sal tree director, said the company aims to create a wildlife retreat that lets guests experience the region’s natural beauty more closely.
ITC currently operates one property in Madhya Pradesh and has two upcoming properties in Bhopal and Gwalior.
Separately, ITC will manage the 65-key Storii by ITC Hotels Mussoorie in Uttarakhand.
