U.S. HOTEL PERFORMANCE was mixed for the week ended Sept. 26, according to CoStar. ADR rose slightly, while occupancy and RevPAR declined, though all three metrics increased year over year.
Performance was boosted by the Rosh Hashanah calendar shift.
Occupancy fell to 69.7 percent for the week ended Sept. 26 from 71.1 percent the previous week, but rose 6.4 percent year over year. ADR increased slightly to $179.43 from $179.30, up 7.4 percent year over year. RevPAR declined to $125.06 from $127.43, but increased 14.2 percent year over year.
Among the top 25 markets, Orlando saw the largest occupancy increase, rising 18.6 percent to 68.3 percent.
Miami reported the largest ADR increase, rising 19.8 percent to $177.65.
San Francisco posted the largest RevPAR increase, up 35.1 percent to $223.16.
Phoenix was the only top 25 market with a RevPAR decline, down 0.5 percent to $99.09.
