- Manglam Group signs 220-key Sheraton in Jaipur.
- Project backed by $37 million investment.
- Third Marriott collaboration for Manglam Group.
The agreement was signed by Amrita Gupta, Manglam director and Manglam Spa & Resorts CEO, and Rajeev Menon, Marriott president for Asia Pacific excluding China, according to The Economic Times.
The hotel will come up along the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway on NH-48, one of the city's fast-growing development corridors. Nearby are Jaipur International Airport, Mahindra World City SEZ and road routes connecting Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar and Kishangarh.
Manglam, led by N.K. Gupta, is a Jaipur-based real estate and hospitality company founded in 1995. With more than 80 projects delivered across 13 cities in Rajasthan and Goa, the group operates in residential, commercial and hospitality segments.
Its hospitality portfolio currently includes the Westin Jaipur on Delhi Road and Fern by Marriott in Jagatpura, making the Sheraton the group's third collaboration with Marriott.
"Jaipur is becoming the place the world chooses for its most important moments, from weddings to business,” said Gupta. “Our vision has always been to create hospitality that carries the soul of Rajasthan onto a global stage, and the Sheraton sits at the very heart of that ambition.”
David Marriott, Marriott, chairman, said they were pleased to collaborate with Manglam on the Sheraton Hotel and look forward to combining Sheraton’s global hospitality standards with Manglam’s vision in Rajasthan.
The hotel’s design is expected to reflect Rajasthan’s cultural heritage and architectural character. Jaipur continues to grow as a destination for weddings, leisure travel, corporate events and large-scale celebrations, making the corridor a natural fit for a full-service hotel of this scale.
Separately, Marriott and CG Hospitality Global signed a three-property agreement to develop The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu, The Westin Kathmandu and JW Marriott Hotel Siliguri, with all three expected to open by 2031.
