LUCKEY’S MANAGEMENT BROKE ground on a dual-branded Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites by Marriott International in Miramar, Florida. The 160-key project is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The seven-story hotel will include 84 Fairfield and 76 TownePlace Suites rooms, Luckey’s said in a statement. The project is the developer’s third in Miramar Park of Commerce. It is near Florida’s Turnpike and Hard Rock Stadium, serving event and business travel demand.

It will span nearly 100,000 square feet, the statement said. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, fitness center, lounge, flexible lobby spaces, a fire pit and grilling area. The property also will have 162 surface parking spaces.

“Breaking ground on this hotel is a milestone for our team and for Miramar,” said Aevin Sanjay, Luckey’s chief investment officer and principal.

Luckey’s is led by CEO and Principal Jay Patel, President and Principal Sandy Patel, COO and Principal Akesha Sanjay Thakor and Aevin Sanjay. Patel and Sanjay are leading the project for the Fort Lauderdale-based developer.

Luckey’s Management acquired the 3.36-acre site in January 2024 and secured site plan approval from the Miramar City Commission later that year.
