The 181-key Taj Palace, Lucknow opened in Gomti Nagar. It marks Indian Hotels Co. Ltd.’s second Taj hotel in Uttar Pradesh

The hotel offers four dining options, along with wellness facilities including a fitness center and rooftop swimming pool. It also features The Chambers, Taj’s members-only business club, at its first location in Uttar Pradesh. The hotel was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

"As India's economic and tourism landscape continues to expand, cities such as Lucknow are emerging as important centers of growth, driven by infrastructure development, rising investment and increasing visitation,” said Puneet Chhatwal, IHCL managing director and CEO. “The opening of the second Taj hotel is reflective of the state's growing prominence and our commitment to the region.”

Santosh Shetty, general manager at Taj Palace said, Lucknow reflects the city’s changing character through its design.

“We look forward to welcoming guests with the warmth of Tajness in this modern sanctuary of new Lucknow,” he said.

Chhatwal said IHCL has a long-standing presence in Uttar Pradesh, with a 60-hotel portfolio in more than 20 cities.

IHCL recently created a select service business vertical covering four brands and appointed new leaders for the business.
