G6 HOSPITALITY OPENED more than 35 Studio 6 locations in the first quarter of 2026. The company said it’s finding demand for extended-stay accommodation across markets.
New Studio 6 locations include Birmingham, Alabama; Sacramento and Fresno, California; Fort Myers and Jacksonville, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee; Rochester and Buffalo, New York; El Paso, Texas; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; Minneapolis; Cincinnati; Oklahoma City; Milwaukee; and Seattle, G6 said in a statement. The additions include conversions and new builds across markets driven by business travel, workforce mobility and long-term stays.
G6, parent of Motel 6 and Studio 6, is led by Chairman Ritesh Agarwal, also group CEO of PRISM, and CEO Sonal Sinha.
“Continued expansion allows us to strengthen our presence in high-demand markets and better serve the evolving needs of long-term travelers. We appreciate our franchise partners’ support as we focus on delivering reliable, comfortable and affordable stays for our guests,” said Sinha.
Extended-stay hotels represent a share of the development pipeline, supported by demand, lower operating costs and operating models, G6 said, citing a Cushman & Wakefield report. This comes as U.S. hotel RevPAR growth stabilizes. Extended-stay properties benefit from occupancy driven by longer stays, supporting revenue visibility and operations. The segment has become an asset class for developers and investors, reinforcing its role in industry expansion.
Anuj Ladha, G6 vice president, said the company is seeing demand across priority markets, particularly in locations driven by workforce mobility and long-term travel needs.
“Our focus remains on working with franchise partners to identify opportunities and onboard properties, while maintaining the consistency and value that Studio 6 is known for,” he said.
G6 continues to invest in technology and operations, including G6 Marketplace, a procurement platform for owners; Protect24.ai for on-property safety and bookable Early Check-In as a revenue opportunity for franchisees.
G6 is hosting its annual franchise conference in Cancún, Mexico, from April 27 to 29.
