G6 HOSPITALITY LLC, parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands, launched Early Check-In, letting guests guarantee arrival as early as 11 a.m. or a property’s standard check-out time for an additional fee starting at $15. The feature is available at participating locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Traditional hotel check-in typically begins at 3 p.m. or later, but many travelers, including road-trippers, early-morning fliers and shift workers, arrive earlier and face wait times, G6 said in a statement. Guests can book Early Check-In on the My6 app and website, where a widget highlights the option.

“We listened to our guests,” said Sonal Sinha, G6 Hospitality’s CEO. “After a long drive or early flight, the last thing they want is to wait hours for a room. Early Check-In lets them secure a room quickly at a set rate.”

For franchise owners, the program provides a new per-booking revenue stream while keeping control of pricing, availability and blackout dates, the statement said. Properties can set fees based on market and capacity using self-service tools, with daily reports and real-time booking notifications to optimize housekeeping and staffing. Participating properties display the fee separately and guests receive confirmation of their early check-in time in their reservation details.

G6 is led by Chairman Ritesh Agarwal, also Group CEO of PRISM, and Sinha.

The company recently launched G6 Marketplace, a procurement platform for its franchise network, letting franchisees source supplies, access pricing and place orders in one place.
