TownePlace Suites by Marriott Palmdale is open in Palmdale, California. The 220-room hotel was developed by Peachtree Group and will be operated by its hospitality management division.
The hotel is in Antelope Valley near aerospace and defense employers including U.S. Air Force Plant 42, Edwards Air Force Base and Lockheed Martin operations, Peachtree said in a statement. It is also near DryTown Water Park. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor pool, pet-friendly suites, free parking and Marriott Bonvoy digital check-in.
“The [hotel] is well-positioned to serve the aerospace, defense and extended-stay demand in the Antelope Valley market,” said Vickie Callahan, Peachtree’s president for hospitality management. “This opening reflects a long development process requiring persistence, collaboration and commitment across multiple teams.”
The property was an early EB-5 development and received I-956F approval from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, supporting its role as a job-creating investment, the statement said. Atlanta-based Peachtree is led by Principal and CEO Greg Friedman, Principal and CFO Jatin Desai and Principal Mitul Patel.
Friedman said Palmdale reflects the combination of development expertise, hospitality operations and capital solutions such as EB-5 investments.
“The project demonstrates how we align those capabilities around investments designed to create value while supporting job creation and local economic activity,” he said.
“Palmdale was one of the early projects that helped establish our EB-5 platform and shows how the strategy has evolved,” said Adam Greene, Peachtree’s executive vice president for EB-5. “The opening reinforces the role EB-5 can play in supporting hospitality development, creating jobs and expanding investment opportunities in growing markets.”
In April, Peachtree received U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services approval to develop a Homewood Suites in Sugar Mountain, North Carolina.
