THE FERN HOTELS & Resorts signed a new property, Desert Inn Beacon, in the Greater Rann of Kutch, near Bhuj, Gujarat. It now has 37 operational and upcoming properties in the state.

The property will have 35 rooms and suites for business and leisure travellers, The Fern said in a statement. The hotel will offer event facilities for meetings and celebrations, and a swimming pool and recreation facilities. It is scheduled to open this year.

The Fern is owned by Concept Hospitality, led by Executive Chairman Param Kannampilly and Managing Director Suhail Kannampilly. The Fern brand, launched in 2009, focuses on energy efficiency and waste management.

“Gujarat continues to be a key market in our growth strategy, driven by increasing tourism, commercial development and infrastructure expansion,” said Kannampilly. “The signing of Desert Inn Beacon, Greater Rann of Kutch strengthens our regional footprint and aligns with our plan to expand into emerging destinations.”

Prahlad Singh, Hotel Desert Inn partner, said they partnered with The Fern for the project.

“With The Fern’s strong brand reputation, operational excellence and commitment to sustainable hospitality, we are confident that this collaboration will create a distinctive hospitality destination in the region and offer guests a memorable and elevated stay experience,” he said.

In July, The Fern signed four hotels in Lucknow, Mumbai, Vadodara and Gwalior, taking its inventory to 10,000 rooms.
