- OM Shiv acquired Florida Fairfield.
- Hunter Advisors brokered the deal.
- Buyer plans renovations for the hotel.
Hunter Advisors brokered the sale on behalf of the seller, AHIP Jacksonville Properties LLC, the company said in a statement.
“This transaction gives the buyer a well-built hotel in a dynamic and growing submarket,” said Sophia Pittaluga, Hunter senior vice president. “We’re excited to see OM Shiv take over and carry out a comprehensive renovation to current brand standards, which will strengthen the hotel’s overall performance.”
The four-story hotel was built in 2009 and renovated in 2019. It is directly off Interstate 10 and has an indoor pool, fitness center and 1,000 square feet of meeting space.
The hotel is near Cecil Commerce Center, a 17,000-acre industrial and logistics hub planned to have up to 31 million square feet of industrial space. Major employers in the area include Amazon, Boeing, GE, Bridgestone and Saft America.
Cecil Airport, next to the hub, supports the area's aerospace industry. Boeing is also spending $90 million to expand a hangar at the airport. These businesses and projects bring demand from corporate, logistics and manufacturing travelers, the statement said.
Hunter recently brokered the sale of the 94-key Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh West Homestead Waterfront in Pennsylvania to Raga Hospitality Corp. and Kalyan Hospitality.
