Dual-branded AC Hotel Dallas Uptown and Moxy Dallas Uptown are now open in Uptown Dallas. Peachtree Group developed the 264-room property with Phoenix Development Partners.

The property includes 110 rooms at AC Hotel and 154 at Moxy, Peachtree said in a Nov. 5 statement. Peachtree’s hospitality management division operates both hotels. Peachtree announced the groundbreaking of the 19-story project in October 2024.

“Dallas continues to attract significant corporate investment, particularly in financial services, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s leading business destinations,” said Greg Friedman, Peachtree’s CEO and managing principal. “Uptown is at the center of that growth, creating an attractive environment for hospitality investment.”

Peachtree said population growth, corporate relocations and an expanding financial services sector are driving investment in Dallas. It cited Goldman Sachs’ 800,000-square-foot campus, Morgan Stanley’s planned regional hub and Scotiabank’s regional hub. In Uptown, it said, Jefferies Financial Group is expanding at The Crescent and UBS is establishing a wealth advisory center.

Friedman has also pointed to policy risk. In a LinkedIn post after the Nov. 3 election, in which Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress, he wrote that political uncertainty remains for investors.

John Schellhase, Peachtree’s vice president of investments, said the company sees long-term opportunity in Dallas.

“The AC Hotel and Moxy Dallas Uptown reflect our commitment to thoughtful development that complements the surrounding neighborhood, supports local economic activity and creates destinations that benefit both visitors and the community,” he said.

AC Hotel Dallas Uptown offers AC Kitchen for breakfast and the AC Library for work or relaxation, the statement said. Moxy Dallas Uptown has Bar Moxy, which serves cocktails, coffee and light bites. The hotels share a 1,000-square-foot fitness center and meeting and event spaces. High Point, an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar, overlooks the Dallas skyline and has a 16-by-9-foot LED wall for private events and game-day viewing.

“The combination of AC Hotel and Moxy allows us to appeal to a broader range of travelers while creating operational efficiencies and a more dynamic guest experience,” said Vickie Callahan, Peachtree’s president for hospitality management division. “Each brand brings a distinct identity to the property, while shared amenities and experiences, including High Point, create opportunities to engage both hotel guests and the surrounding community.”

Atlanta-based Peachtree is led by Friedman; Jatin Desai, managing principal and CFO; and Mitul Patel, principal.

The opening follows Peachtree’s opening of the 171-room Residence Inn San Antonio Riverwalk. The company also broke ground on a 480-room dual-branded Embassy Suites by Hilton and Tempo by Hilton in downtown Austin.
