- Hilton’s Curio Collection brand debuts in India.
- The hotel’s design inspired by Karnataka's Malnad region.
- Slohh by Roach offers 221 rooms.
The Bengaluru property marks the company's entry into India’s lifestyle hotel segment, Hilton said in a statement. The 221-key lifestyle hotel is in Whitefield, one of Bengaluru's main business and technology districts. The hotel is expected to serve both business and leisure travelers seeking a stay with a local character.
"Bengaluru continues to be a key market for Hilton in India, shaped by its strong business ecosystem and evolving travel demand,” said Zubin Saxena, Hilton senior vice president and regional head for South Asia. “The debut of Curio Collection in South Asia, marking our first lifestyle offering in India, is a significant milestone as we expand our portfolio to meet growing demand for distinctive, experience-led hospitality.”
The property’s design takes inspiration from Karnataka’s Malnad region, with pitched roofs, natural materials and carved details. It offers rooms across seven categories, many with private balconies overlooking the Varthur lake or city. The design reflects local architecture and culture, adding a new hotel option in Whitefield.
The hotel offers regional and seasonal dishes inspired by Karnataka and Malnad traditions, along with Indian and global cuisine. It also has event spaces for business and social gatherings, as well as a pool, fitness center and spa.
Bengaluru-based Roach was founded in 1994 and is led by Christina Roach. The company focuses on real estate and hospitality developments.
Christina, Roach founder, said Slohh by Roach was created to offer a hotel experience connected to how people live.
“We are thrilled to partner with Hilton to bring this vision of ours to life through the first Curio Collection hotel in India. The hotel will mirror the spirit of Bengaluru in a way that feels authentic and contemporary, offering guests a stay defined by individuality, creativity and meaningful local connection,” she said.
Hilton recently launched its Spark brand in India with two hotels in Bengaluru and Goa, marking its Asia-Pacific debut through a partnership with Olive Hospitality.
