The hotel will include guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby cafe, a swimming pool and a fitness center, ITC said in a statement. It will also include about 5,500 square feet of indoor banquet and event space for weddings, social gatherings and corporate events. The hotel will cater to both business and leisure travelers.
"Mysuru is one of South India's most distinguished destinations, known for its vibrant heritage, strong tourism appeal, and growing economic potential,” said Anil Chadha, ITC managing director. “Welcomhotel Mysuru will further strengthen our presence in Karnataka and offer travellers a premium hospitality experience that combines contemporary comfort with the distinctive character of the destination.”
Sunag B S, Sumeru’s managing partner, said the association with ITC Hotels gives the project a strong foundation.
"Mysuru has always been close to our hearts. The upcoming hotel will reflect the soul of this beautiful city and also contribute meaningfully to the local community," he said.
Mysuru attracts visitors for its heritage sites, tourism activity and commercial growth, supporting demand for full-service hotels, the statement said.
ITC already operates Welcomhotels in Belagavi and Bengaluru, Karnataka, along with properties across other South Indian states, including Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Separately, ITC recently signed a management agreement for a 145-key Welcomhotel property in Salasar, Rajasthan.
