HILTON WORLDWIDE HOLDINGS and Navan are creating a direct connection between hotels and travel management companies to improve corporate hotel bookings. The capability combines Hilton’s distribution framework with Navan’s travel technology, marketplace and booking platform.

Navan will be the first travel management company to integrate directly with Hilton’s central reservation system and content services, enabling real-time shopping, booking and access to hotel content, the companies said in a joint statement. The connection pairs Hilton’s distribution system with Navan’s travel platform for managed travel.

“At Hilton, we are committed to listening loudly and embracing innovation to meet the needs of our customers,” said Frank Passanante, Hilton’s senior vice president and global head, sales & HRCC. “By partnering closely with Navan and leveraging Hilton’s industry-leading technology and commercial expertise, we are evolving the hotel distribution model and delivering direct connectivity that better supports how corporate customers book, manage and experience travel.”

Dane Molter, Navan’s senior vice president of group travel marketplace, said the company has pushed the boundaries of managed travel.

“Collaborating with Hilton on this direct connection will allow us to deliver superior experiences for users from their initial hotel search through booking and checkout,” he said.

The integration uses Hilton-developed APIs implemented with Navan’s travel marketplace platform, the statement said. A Booking API gives Navan direct, real-time access to Hilton’s central reservation system for availability, rates and bookings, while a Content API provides hotel and room information directly from Hilton, making Navan the first travel management company to deploy the capability in its booking platform.

The partnership gives Navan customers access to Hilton’s hotel portfolio and hotel content through Navan’s marketplace, the companies said. It also expands virtual payment acceptance across Hilton’s portfolio to reduce booking and payment issues for travelers and travel managers. The integration lays the groundwork for future automation and post-booking integrations.

In a separate announcement, Hilton reported progress toward its 2030 environmental and social impact goals, reducing carbon emissions, water use and waste across its hotel portfolio. The company also expanded its social impact through employee initiatives in the communities it serves.
