- Marriott and CG Hospitality sign three property deals.
- Ritz-Carlton to make its Nepal debut in Kathmandu.
- Properties to add nearly 450 keys by 2031.
The deal covers The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu, The Westin Kathmandu and JW Marriott Hotel Siliguri, according to the company.
CG Hospitality is a Nepal-based hospitality and diversified conglomerate under CG Corp Global, with a presence across hotels, financial services, telecom, infrastructure and real estate in the region.
Siliguri serves as a key transit point for travelers heading to Darjeeling, Sikkim and parts of Northeast India. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the country’s main hub for tourism and gateway to the Himalayas.
The Ritz-Carlton Kathmandu will mark the brand's first entry into Nepal. The planned property will offer 150 rooms including 30 suites, five dining venues, a spa and a pool. The Westin Kathmandu will bring another globally recognised brand catering to both leisure and business travelers.
JW Marriott Hotel Siliguri will be set in the foothills of the Himalayas, around 10 kilometers from Bagdogra Airport. The property is expected to feature 150 rooms, four dining venues including a restaurant, a spa, a pool and 1,500 square meters of banquet space.

Rahul Chaudhary, CG Hospitality CEO and managing director, said the three signings open a new chapter for South Asia's hospitality market.
"Together, we will create destinations that celebrate local culture, unlock meaningful employment and deliver good experiences for travelers and communities," he said.
The agreement was signed in the presence of David Marriott, Marriott’s chairman of the board and Binod K Chaudhary, CG Corp. Global and CG Hospitality chairman, Rahul Chaudhary, CG Hospitality chief executive officer, Rajeev Menon, Marriott president, Asia Pacific excluding China and Kiran Andicot, Marriott’s senior vice president.
The association between CG Hospitality and Marriott is aimed at expanding world-class hospitality in South Asia. They recently crossed 75 total signings and 50 open properties for Series by Marriott in under two years.
Recently, Marriott reported stronger-than-expected first-quarter results, with global RevPAR rising 4.2 percent driven by steady travel demand across key markets.
