PEACHTREE GROUP WILL open the 137-key AC Hotel McKinney in the Craig Ranch district of McKinney, Texas, in October. The hotel appointed Craig Barnett general manager and Jessica Ely director of sales and marketing.
The five-story, 71,500-square-foot hotel will be managed by Peachtree Group's Hospitality Management division. It includes nearly 3,000 square feet of meeting and event space, AC Lounge and Good & Proper Wood Fired Bistro, a fifth-floor restaurant, Peachtree said. Construction began in March 2024.
Barnett joined Peachtree's Hospitality Management division two and a half years ago and has experience in hotel openings and operations. Ely joins the hotel as director of sales and marketing from the division.
"Craig's extensive opening experience and passion for hospitality make him an excellent fit to lead AC Hotel McKinney," said Steve MacKenzie, Peachtree's executive vice president of operations for its Hospitality Management division. "We're confident he will build a strong culture for the team while delivering exceptional service for guests and the local community."
Barnett said he is honored to lead the opening of AC Hotel McKinney and join the community.
"Building a talented team and creating memorable experiences for both guests and locals will be incredibly rewarding," he said.

Atlanta-based Peachtree is led by Principal and CEO Greg Friedman, Principal and CFO Jatin Desai and Principal Mitul Patel. The company recently opened the 220-room TownePlace Suites Palmdale in Palmdale, California, which it developed and will manage through its Hospitality Management division.
