WEALTH HOSPITALITY GROUP is adding six StudioRes by Marriott properties. It also opened a dual-brand hotel in Ruston, Louisiana.

The six projects are in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Panama City Beach, Florida; Ruston, Louisiana; Salem, Oregon; Ridgeland, Mississippi; and Pearl, Mississippi, WHG said in a statement. The company is seeking investment partnerships for its current developments.

"This development reflects our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences while creating long-term value for our guests, partners, and the communities we serve," said Hiren “Chico” Patel, WHG CEO.

Also, WHG on July 21 opened a 154-room dual-brand Home2 Suites by Hilton and Tru by Hilton in Ruston, Louisiana. The property combines extended-stay and select-service lodging for business travelers, families, university visitors and other guests.

Patel said the opening brought together local leaders, community partners, city officials, contractors and company team members.

"The project will create jobs, support the local economy and provide opportunities for the community," he said.

Construction is also continuing on the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Salem, Oregon.

According to Patel, extended-stay hotels continue to see demand from construction crews, health care professionals, relocating families and project-based business travelers.

"Longer stays can support more stable occupancy and predictable revenue than hotels that rely mainly on overnight leisure travel," he said.

WHG has more than 30 projects in development across more than 20 markets, with more than 2,500 rooms in its pipeline. In February, the company added the 100-room Candlewood Suites in Mobile, Alabama, expanding its presence in the Gulf Coast market.
