ACCOR INDIA, INTERGLOBE Hotels and Ennismore signed an agreement to introduce the 149-key The Hoxton, Bengaluru City in Bengaluru. The hotel is scheduled to open in November, marking the brand’s debut in India.
The signing follows a strategic initiative by Accor and InterGlobe to develop 300 hotels under Accor and Ennismore brands in India by 2030, the companies said, as they expand in the country’s lifestyle hospitality market.
“India is one of the most exciting hospitality markets in the world right now,” said Gaurav Bhushan, Accor India chairman and Ennismore group CEO. “The market is ready for a true lifestyle experience and our approach is simple: build brands that resonate with Indian guests first while maintaining the same global DNA our brands are known for. We are excited that Ennismore will make its debut in India this year, with the anticipated openings of Roswyn Mumbai, a Morgans Originals hotel and a pipeline that includes Delano and Mama Shelter. It has long been our ambition to bring The Hoxton to India, and Bengaluru—with its cultural scene—feels like the natural first stop.”
Accor and InterGlobe named Bhushan chairman of their joint venture in May 2025.
The Hoxton will offer rooms in categories including Roomy, Biggy, and four Homey suites. The Homey suites, on the top two floors, will measure 55 m². The property will include The Apartment, a meetings and events space with a pantry and two meeting rooms for smaller gatherings and an events space with pre-function and function rooms for up to 240 guests.
Aditya Pande, InterGlobe Enterprises Group CEO, said The Hoxton’s entry into India marks a key step in the company’s effort to expand lifestyle hospitality in the country.
“Bengaluru, with its creative energy and global outlook, is the ideal city for the brand,” he said. “This signing strengthens our partnership with Accor and Ennismore as we work to meet the needs of the Indian market, where guests are seeking design-led experiences.”
The Hoxton launched in 2006 with its first hotel in London’s Shoreditch. In 2011, it joined Ennismore and was reimagined by Sharan Pasricha, marking the start of its international expansion. The brand now spans 19 properties across the UK, Europe and the U.S., with upcoming openings in Melbourne, Oslo, Nashville and Mexico City.
Last year, Accor and InterGlobe announced an alliance to create a hospitality enterprise in India with a network, a portfolio of brands and distribution across market segments. In February, The Economic Times reported that Accor and InterGlobe Enterprises were considering a public listing for their hotel joint venture.
