Ricardo Marriott DFW Westlake is now open in Westlake, Texas. The 293-room hotel is owned by a joint venture between NewcrestImage and Dabu Group and managed by Coury Hospitality.
The hotel, formerly the Marriott Westlake, was acquired in September 2023 and reopened after renovation and rebranding, the companies said in a statement. It is near downtown Grapevine and attractions including Texas Motor Speedway, AT&T Stadium, Six Flags Over Texas, Grapevine Botanical Garden and Marshall Creek Ranch, the companies said.
Dallas-based NewcrestImage is led by CEO and managing partner Mehul Patel, while Irving-based Coury Hospitality is led by CEO Paul Coury. Dabu Group, also based in Dallas, is led by Managing Partners Bruce Patel and Danny Patel.
“We have reimagined this property for today’s market,” said Patel. “It blends luxury and comfort and supports strong rate performance in an active market.”
The name honors Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, who designed the original property. The hotel includes nearly 15,000 square feet of meeting space and 17 event rooms and is near corporate offices and shopping areas, including Southlake Town Square and The Shops at Lakeside DFW.
Coury said the hotel was renovated and rebranded to drive performance, improve the guest experience and strengthen its role in the local community.
“We honored the property’s design while introducing updates through amenities and technology,” he said.
NewcrestImage operates a portfolio of hotels across the U.S. Since its founding in 2013, it has completed transactions totaling more than $3 billion, covering nearly 275 hotels and about 30,000 rooms in 130 communities.
Separately, NewcrestImage recently opened Hotel Mockingbird in Dallas after renovation and rebranding. The property is also managed by Coury Hospitality.
