Mike Morey is Peachtree Group’s executive vice president for capital markets. He will lead the firm’s insurance capital markets strategy, focusing on lender relationships, capital sourcing and execution across its investment platform.

He was at The Standard, where he held roles in its real estate lending platform, StanCorp Mortgage Investors, focusing on commercial real estate finance and investment across asset classes and market cycles, Peachtree said in a statement.

Earlier in his career, Morey was vice president and regional manager at Intervest Mortgage Investment Co., where he originated and managed commercial real estate loans, the statement said. He also held roles at the Center for Real Estate at Portland State University, including chairman of the advisory board.

Atlanta-based Peachtree is led by Principal and CEO Greg Friedman, Principal and CFO Jatin Desai and Principal Mitul Patel.

“We’re excited to welcome Mike to the team, where he will play a key role in expanding our partnerships with insurance companies,” said Friedman. “As these relationships become central to our strategy, they enhance our ability to offer lending options to borrowers and operate a more efficient platform.”

Jeremy Stoler, Peachtree’s executive vice president for debt capital markets, said Morey brings relationships and experience in capital markets.

“In a market defined by capital constraints, his expertise strengthens our ability to source and structure opportunities where risk is mispriced,” he said.

The Mortgage Bankers Association recently named Peachtree the 10th-largest investor-driven commercial real estate lender in the U.S. The company deployed more than $3 billion in commercial real estate credit in 2025, an 88 percent increase from 2024.

“Peachtree’s platform and ability to pivot across the capital stack set it apart,” Morey said. “In today’s environment, where capital remains selective, the ability to align sourcing, structuring and execution under one platform is an advantage for borrowers and investors.”
