BWH HOTELS’ WORLDHOTELS launched WorldHotels Backdrop, a collection of outdoor stays featuring tented glamping rooms and riverside cabins across mountain, coastal and national park locations. It offers owners and developers a pathway for outdoor and adventure properties to join the BWH portfolio.

The first locations are Zion Wildflower Resort in Virgin, Utah, and Asheville River Cabins in Arden, North Carolina, BWH said in a statement. The Lodge at Pico Bonito in La Ceiba, Honduras, will soon join the collection.

“Today’s travelers seek more than a getaway; they are looking for connection and purpose,” said Ron Pohl, WorldHotels’ president. “It’s about meaningful moments in local neighborhoods and journeys designed to inspire deeper connection. At WorldHotels, we are committed to helping guests discover a basecamp for exploration, whether personal or professional. WorldHotels Backdrop brings our vision to life, allowing guests to experience outdoor environments while enjoying the hospitality that sets WorldHotels apart.”

The launch comes as the global glamping market, valued at $3.79 billion in 2025, is projected to reach $7.87 billion by 2033, BWH said, citing Grand View Research. It also comes as travelers seek to reconnect with nature, place and themselves. Backdrop properties also include on-site kitchens and indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, corporate retreats and events.

Zion Wildflower Resort, minutes from Zion National Park, offers safari-style accommodations and access to hiking, stargazing and guided desert activities. Asheville River Cabins offers cabins with access to tubing, hiking and mountain biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Honduras resort is a rainforest lodge near Pico Bonito National Park with access to trails, waterfalls and wildlife.

Properties have access to a guest management system and the WorldHotels Rewards program, which has about 66 million members, the statement said. Early discussions are underway for a location in Phan Thiet, Vietnam and for safari experiences in Africa and Australia.

Meanwhile, BWH is among hotel companies competing in outdoor accommodations as younger travelers seek experiences that prioritize restoration and connection to place, the statement said. Travelers aged 18 to 32 accounted for 43.9 percemt of glamping revenue in 2025, according to Grand View.
