The hotel is near Will Rogers International Airport and major corporate, logistics and aviation facilities, including Hobby Lobby, Dell Technologies, Amazon, UPS, the FAA’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center and Tinker Air Force Base, Hunter said in a statement.
The three-story hotel, built in 1988, has about 1,250 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a business center.
“The location next to Will Rogers International Airport, combined with the upside we see through repositioning the hotel, made this an asset we did not want to pass up," said Danny Patel, Sai Hospitality president.
Hunter’s senior vice president Spencer Davidson and Vice President Mason McDavid facilitated the transaction.
McDavid said the team connected the seller with a buyer that has a clear plan for the property's future.
“With planned rebranding and a more hands-on operational approach, the Courtyard OKC Airport is set up for a strong next chapter," he said.
New projects are bringing more investment to Oklahoma City, including the $2.5 billion Boardwalk at Bricktown and a $1 billion arena for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The city will also host events during the 2028 Summer Olympics, the statement said.
Separately, Anish Hotels Group acquired the 311-key Wyndham Grand Oklahoma City Downtown in Oklahoma City.
