MINIMALIST HOTELS OPENED the 18-key Minimalist Lake Pichola Edit in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The property is near Lake Pichola.

The opening marks the brand's entry into Rajasthan and expands its presence in North and West India, the company said in a statement. The hotel is also close to City Palace & Fateh Sagar Lake and cultural landmarks.

The hotel caters to leisure travelers, weekend visitors, digital nomads and business travelers. It includes a rooftop restaurant and bar.

"Udaipur was a natural choice for our next destination because travellers today are looking for more intimate, design-led stays that feel rooted in the place,” said Gautam Munjal, Minimalist founder. “With Minimalist Lake Pichola Edit, we've created a hotel that reflects the city's character while staying true to our philosophy of thoughtful design, meaningful hospitality and community.”

The Udaipur opening follows the brand's earlier hotels in Goa, Delhi and Varanasi.

Last year, Minimalist announced plans to expand with 20 new properties in India over the next two years.
