The two signings add 145 rooms to the group’s Bihar portfolio, which includes two operating hotels and three properties in development. Bodhgaya is a major Buddhist pilgrimage destination that attracts visitors from India and abroad. Growing leisure and business travel also support demand for hotels in the area, LTHL said in a statement.
Both properties will be near Bodhgaya Airport and Gaya Railway Station and will offer restaurants, banquet halls, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pools and fitness centers. They will cater to pilgrimage, leisure and business travelers.
“Bodhgaya is an important cultural and spiritual destination that attracts pilgrims and travelers from India and abroad,” said Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, LTHL president. “Lemon Tree Hotels and Keys Select will cater to different traveler needs in the destination.”
In April, LTHL will build two new properties in Nepal and Jammu & Kashmir, expanding its presence in both markets.
