- Fanidhar developing Sofitel in Gujarat.
- Hotel will be in Thaltej.
- It’s to open in 2030.
The hotel will be the premier of the Sofitel Hotels & Resorts brand in Ahmedabad. It is planned to combine French living with local culture, Accor Ltd. said in a statement.
The Sofitel will be in Thaltej, Ahmedabad, with five food and beverage outlets. It will also have about 2,550 square metres of banquet and MICE space, a kids’ club, wellness and leisure facilities. The property is expected to serve corporate and leisure travelers, as well as weddings, social gatherings and business events.
“Ahmedabad is an increasingly important destination in India, with a growing business ecosystem and strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Ranju Alex, Accor’s South Asia CEO. “Sofitel Ahmedabad Palladium Mall Road will combine the brand’s French art de vivre with local culture.”
Ahmedabad is developing as a business and lifestyle destination, said Fanidhar promoters Krunal Rajiv Bhai Patel, Haresh Patel, Vishal Pandya and Kaushal Patel.
“Sofitel’s French identity and connection with local culture make it a suitable brand for this project,” they said.
Ahmedabad is a center for business, finance, infrastructure and enterprise, supported by GIFT City, industrial growth and improved connectivity. The city also sees demand from corporate travelers, NRIs, high-net-worth individuals and leisure guests, the statement said.
Separately, Avni Carnations Hotel and Resorts will develop the 150-key Novotel Jaipur Achrol Resort & Spa in Rajasthan.
