Hilton Garden Inn Steele Creek Charlotte is now open in Steele Creek, Charlotte, North Carolina. The opening marks Maya Hotels’ 12th hotel, 10th in the Charlotte metro area and ninth ground-up development.
The 124-room, six-story hotel is adjacent to Charlotte Premium Outlets and the River District, Maya said in a statement. It is off I-485, with access to I-77 and I-85 and about 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
The hotel has 3,787 square feet of meeting and event space across five rooms, the Garden Grille and Bar, a 1,129-square-foot gym and an outdoor pool. The meeting rooms can host business meetings, group functions, celebrations and social events.
“We saw an opportunity to make a long-term investment in Steele Creek at a location with an exceptional combination of connectivity, growth and activity,” said Parimal Thakor, Maya Hotels’ co-CEO. “The six-story concrete and steel construction is designed for durability and longevity, and we approached every aspect of the property with the objective of creating a hotel that can serve this community for decades.”
Residential, commercial, retail and recreational development continues in Steele Creek. The nearby River District, a master-planned community along the Catawba River, is adding homes, businesses and amenities.
Krishna Deva, Maya Hotels’ co-CEO, said the property was designed around how different guests use the hotel.
“For a business traveler, that might mean having a productive meeting, a serious workout and a comfortable place to unwind,” Deva said. “For a family, it might mean walking over to the outlets, spending time at the pool or exploring everything the area has to offer. For a group, it might mean having the right space to meet, gather, dine and celebrate, all in one place.”
The hotel will also house Dear Charlotte, a bar, restaurant and event space on the top floor. It will serve cocktails, pizzas and shareable plates and is expected to open in late fall 2026.
Hilton Garden Inn Steele Creek Charlotte is part of Hilton Garden Inn, which has more than 1,100 hotels in 65 countries and territories. The hotel will create more than 50 jobs in Charlotte across hotel operations, food and beverage, and guest services.
