LORDS HOTELS & RESORTS plans to add a 35-key Lords Inn Madhapar in Bhuj, Gujarat, India. The property is scheduled to open in December.

Bhuj is known for its heritage, handicrafts and historic architecture. The city is near the Rann of Kutch, while Dholavira is also within reach of the hotel.

The hotel will have a restaurant and a banquet facility and will cater to leisure travelers, families and guests visiting for business and social occasions, Lords Hotels said in a statement.

“Gujarat continues to be an important market for us, with destinations such as Bhuj offering considerable potential across leisure and business travel,” said Pushpendra Bansal, Lords Hotels chief operating officer. “With Lords Inn Madhapar, we aim to bring our true value hospitality standards and guest-focused experiences to this culturally rich destination while strengthening our presence across the state.”

Sudhir Jena, Lords Hotels vice president for corporate, said Bhuj and the Kutch region are known for their heritage, culture and growing tourism.

“We see the signing as a way to become part of the region’s growing hotel market and provide accommodation for travelers visiting Kutch,” Jena said.

In July, Lords Hotels opened the 70-key Lords Inn Sanand in Gujarat.
