- Hilton to shift listing to Nasdaq.
- Move will not change business strategy.
- Portfolio has grown to 28 brands since 2013.
The move will not change Hilton’s business strategy, capital allocation priorities or commitments to guests, owners, team members and shareholders, the company said in a statement.
“Nasdaq is closely aligned with our growth ambitions and we look forward to joining a marketplace that is highly respected as the home of many of the world’s most innovative companies,” said Chris Nassetta, Hilton’s president and CEO.
Hilton first listed on the NYSE in 1946 and returned to public markets in 2013 after a period of private ownership by Blackstone. Since then, its portfolio has grown from 10 brands to 28, with 9,453 properties in 144 countries and territories, up from 4,080 properties in 90 countries and territories in 2013.
Hilton recently appointed Jeff Moore as executive vice president and chief technology officer, effective Oct. 26.
