G6 HOSPITALITY HELD town halls with more than 150 franchisees in seven states. The meetings focused on business performance, initiatives and regional priorities.
The sessions in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio, California, Arizona and Oregon followed its annual franchise convention in Cancún earlier this year, G6 said in a statement. They gave owners an opportunity to share feedback on regional markets and business needs.
Vice Chairman Ankit Tandon, National Head of Brand Performance Anuj Ladha and regional leaders attended the meetings.
“Every market is different, every owner has a unique story and every conversation offers a perspective that you simply can't gain in a boardroom,” said Tandon. “What stood out most was the passion our owners have for their businesses and the pride they take in serving their communities. Those conversations have given me a much deeper understanding of where we're creating value today, where we need to move faster and how we can build a stronger business together.”
The discussions covered revenue growth, technology, marketing, operations, sales support and franchise performance, the statement said. They also focused on technology adoption, simplifying operations and commercial support. Leadership provided updates on revenue management, technology solutions, direct booking, safety programmes and tools for franchise owners.
Ladha said the feedback would help the company prioritise initiatives to improve operations, performance and long-term value for franchise owners.
“These town halls created an opportunity to discuss what's working, where additional support is needed and how we can continue improving the owner experience,” he said. “The feedback we received will help us prioritise initiatives that simplify operations, strengthen performance and create greater long-term value across our franchise network.”
The company has nearly 1,500 Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties across the U.S. and Canada, G6 said. The town halls mark the start of a regular program of regional engagement with franchise owners, G6 said. The company will use the discussions to guide priorities for technology, commercial initiatives, operations and franchise support.
In May, G6 named Krishna Paliwal president of midscale extended stay, where he will lead the company’s midscale and upper-economy extended-stay strategy.
