ESA Suites opens in Houston’s Galleria

SAI RAM Galleria LLC opened Extended Stay America Suites – Houston – Galleria in Houston’s Galleria District.

Extended Stay America Suites – Houston – Galleria is now open in Houston’s Galleria District. The 146-key hotel is owned and managed by Ishan Patel and Binoy Patel of SAI RAM Galleria LLC.

The hotel is near shopping, dining and offices including BP America, Marathon Gas, Westlake Corp., Woodside Energy, MD Anderson Cancer Center and Houston Metro Cancer Center, ESA said in a statement. It has a fitness room and allows pets.


“We are pleased to introduce Extended Stay America Suites – Houston – Galleria to this market,” said Ishan Patel, president of SAI Investment Group. “The conversion positions the asset to serve Houston’s business base. We believe in the long-term fundamentals of extended-stay lodging and are confident this property will deliver consistent value to both business and leisure travelers.”

Mark Williams, ESA managing director for franchise development, said the Houston opening reflects the company’s focus on growth in urban submarkets.

“Houston’s Galleria District is a proven extended-stay market supported by corporate headquarters, healthcare institutions and energy-sector activity,” he said. “This conversion shows how the Extended Stay America Suites brand continues to meet business demand through a scalable, efficient model.”

Extended Stay America Suites has operated in the mid-priced extended-stay segment for more than 30 years, the statement said. It serves business travelers, project-based workers and relocating professionals.

Separately, ESA marked the fifth anniversary of its Premier Suites brand. Launched in 2021, Premier Suites has nearly 60 hotels and the company aims for 100 locations by 2030.
