AURO HOTELS ADDED the 135-key Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown to its portfolio with T2 Hospitality in Greenville, South Carolina. The company owns and operates five other Greenville properties, totaling 1,150 rooms.
The hotel is near Peace Center, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Falls Park on the Reedy, and Greenville’s Main Street, Auro said in a statement. The investment strengthens Auro’s role in Greenville’s hospitality sector and its commitment to the city’s growth.
Greenville–based Auro is led by President and CEO D.J. Rama, while Newport-based T2 is led by Founder and CEO Mike Patel.
“Greenville is not only where we do business – it’s our hometown,” said Rama. “Since 1976, our family has been proud to be part of this community, helping create jobs and investing in the city’s growth. We are especially excited to partner with T2 as we continue building on our legacy here.”
The company’s other Greenville properties are the Hyatt Regency, AC Hotel, the dual-branded Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites Downtown and the Greenville Marriott on The Parkway.
Rama said the Courtyard Greenville is an opportunity to contribute further to downtown.

The company owns 39 properties and operates nearly 7,000 rooms across the U.S. and India under brands such as Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide Holdings and Hyatt Hotels Corp. It has developed, owned, and operated about 110 hotels.
In December, Auro received the Marriott Partnership Circle Award, presented to select owners and franchise partners and was inducted into the Partnership Circle Hall of Fame.
