VISION HOSPITALITY GROUP broke ground on the 148-room AC Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The project is scheduled to open in spring 2028.

The project will bring Marriott’s AC Hotels brand to Chattanooga, VHG said in a statement. It will feature O-Ku, a Japanese restaurant concept from Indigo Road Hospitality Group.

“We’re excited to bring the AC Hotels brand to Chattanooga,” said Mitch Patel, VHG founder and CEO. “The brand has established a strong identity within Marriott’s portfolio, and we believe its design and approach to hospitality will resonate with travelers visiting the market.”

The project reflects the company’s continued investment in Chattanooga and confidence in the city’s tourism and hospitality market, the statement said.

Chattanooga, Tennessee-based VHG, founded in 1997, operates more than 40 hotels under brands including Hilton, Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels Corp. and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

In May, VHG broke ground on the Hampton Inn by Hilton Fort Myers I-75 Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers, Florida.
