The Leela Palace Udaipur also ranked second among resorts in India and featured in the top 100 hotels in the world in the same survey. The Leela Palace New Delhi ranked second among best city hotels in India.
The brand previously ranked first in the world in 2020 and 2021 and third in 2023 and 2024. This year's ranking comes as the Leela marks four decades in hospitality.

The brand’s Net Promoter Score is 86, indicating a high level of guest advocacy, according to the company. Its service approach is based on the concept of Atithi Devo Bhava, meaning “guest is God,” and includes elements of Indian culture and heritage.
The annual awards survey ranks travel experiences worldwide based on reader votes. Hotels in the survey are evaluated across rooms and facilities, location, service, dining and overall value.
Another Indian heritage hotel, The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace in Khajuraho, was included in the 2026 list of the World’s Most Beautiful Hotels by Prix Versailles.
