- TDI Infratech signs a 53-key Ramada hotel in Panipat.
- Project backed by $8 million investment.
- Hotel expected to open in second quarter of 2028.
The hotel, backed by an investment of around $8 million, will form part of Connaught Estate, a mixed-use development in the city, according to PTI. It is aimed at business travelers, transit guests, small meetings and events.
TDI is a New Delhi-based real estate company, led by managing director Akshay Taneja, focused on residential and urban development.
"This planned investment reflects our long-term confidence in Panipat's evolving economic landscape,” Taneja told PTI. “The addition of Ramada by Wyndham strengthens the ecosystem at TDI Connaught Estate and aligns with our vision of delivering high-quality, future-ready infrastructure.”
Panipat is part of the NCR growth corridor and is seeing growing commercial and transit activity, making it an emerging market for hotel development. In addition, the hotel's presence in Connaught Estate is expected to provide proximity to commercial developments, retail destinations and key transport links across the city.
Rahool Macarius, Wyndham market managing director, Eurasia, said that tier-two and tier-three markets across North India continued to offer strong growth opportunities for the brand.
"Ramada by Wyndham Panipat is strategically located to cater to the evolving needs of business and leisure travellers in the region," he said.
Wyndham said India was emerging as one of its key growth markets last year, with more than 50 hotels in the pipeline and plans to cross 100 properties. The company already had over 70 hotels in the country and was steadily expanding across brands.
Separately, Chalet Hotels Ltd. opened the 158-key Aravali Marriott Resort & Spa in Faridabad, Haryana, expanding Marriott’s presence in the Delhi NCR region.
