Indian actress and model Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the global brand ambassador for JW Marriott, a Marriott International brand. She will represent the brand’s “Stay in the Moment” platform, focused on well-being and travel experiences.

She will appear in campaigns across film, print and digital platforms and take part in brand experiences in India and select global markets, Marriott said in a statement. The campaign will focus on reflection, connection and luxury at JW Marriott properties.

Her appeal and influence across cinema, fashion and philanthropy align with JW Marriott’s focus on travel and well-being, the statement said. The association comes as India plays a larger role in global travel, both as a source market for outbound travel and a destination for domestic tourism. Affluence, multigenerational travel and demand for experience-led stays are driving growth in hospitality.

“Aishwarya's global stature, warmth and authenticity make her a natural embodiment of JW Marriott and an ideal partner for the brand,” said Bruce Rohr, JW Marriott’s vice president and global brand leader. “She brings a thoughtful, grounded presence that reflects the way our guests seek to travel—with intention and a sense of connection. As we continue to expand in India and across markets shaped by Indian travellers, this collaboration reinforces our commitment to celebrating presence as the ultimate in luxury experiences.”

For Rai Bachchan, the association reflects an alignment with the brand’s focus on well-being and connection.

“Travel has always been an important part of my life, both personally and professionally,” Rai Bachchan said. “The most meaningful experiences are often the quietest ones, when you are fully aware of where you are and who you are with. JW Marriott’s philosophy of being present and in the moment speaks to that awareness. I am honoured to represent a brand that values presence and purpose in equal measure.”

JW Marriott operates more than 130 properties worldwide, with India a key growth market, the statement said. The company is investing in India as it seeks to engage a new generation of travellers through purpose- and presence-led experiences.

Stonebridge Cos. recently opened JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown. Marriott International reported first-quarter results above expectations, with RevPAR up 4.2 percent and its development pipeline growing to more than 4,100 properties and nearly 618,000 rooms.
