Nestled in Bairagarh, the property is located 24.9 km from Tapovan and the main city center. The wider Mohan Chatti region is known for camping, adventure activities, yoga, meditation, rafting, and birdwatching, according to The Economic Times. It also provides travelers with access to nearby attractions such as Neelkanth Mahadev Temple and Garud Chatti Waterfall, while landmarks including Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and Triveni Ghat remain part of the larger Rishikesh circuit.
Official data from the State Emergency Operations Center in Dehradun shows that 4,08,401 pilgrims have taken part in the Char Dham Yatra in the first ten days after the temple doors opened, as of April 28. This large number of visitors highlights how important the pilgrimage remains across Uttarakhand, especially at the start of the season.
"Rishikesh is no longer a one-format destination," said Abhishek Khandelwal, Moustache co-founder and director. "Mohan Chatti gives us the chance to serve that second need better. It offers space, greenery and a slower pace, while still keeping guests close enough to the larger Rishikesh circuit."
In March, Moustache launched Moustache Select McLeodGanj in Upper Bhagsu, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.
