Prakash Maggan, principal and CFO of Rainmaker Hospitality, is chair of the IHG Owners Association Global Board for 2026. Manish Patel, CEO of MKP Management, Inc., is secretary and AMER regional representative.
Juan Carlos Rodo, vice president of operations at Grupo Marta Hospitality, is treasurer and AMER member at large, the association said in a statement. The IHG Owners Association, founded by Holiday Inn founder Kemmons Wilson in 1955, represents more than 5,000 owners of IHG Hotels & Resorts franchise properties worldwide.
“Hotel owners today are navigating a changing environment and the Association plays an important role in helping them stay informed and competitive,” Maggan said. “I look forward to working with our members and IHG Hotels & Resorts to advance Strategic Plan initiatives that support long-term performance and growth.”
Steve Sickel, CEO of the IHG Owners Association, expressed confidence in Maggan’s leadership.
“Prakash brings an owner-focused perspective,” he said. “His operational experience and strategic insight will be valuable as we shape the Association’s priorities and programs.”
Maggan, a second-generation hotelier, helped expand his family’s business into Rainmaker Hospitality, growing from eight to 29 hotels across two states with more than 600 employees, the statement said. He has served on the Association’s board since 2024 as chair of the Technology Committee and vice chair of the Americas Regional Council.
The association’s board for this year also includes Asad Malik, Amerilodge Group, president and CEO, chair elect and AMER member at large; Dhaval Brahmbhatt, Prominence Hospitality Group, principal, hotel operations and asset management, AMER member at large; Shazma Charania, Zainul & Shazma (ZS) Holdings, president, AMER member at large and Ketan Patel, ROHM Group, co-founder, AMER member at large.
IHG aims to have more than 400 operational and in-development hotels in India within five years. It currently has more than 50 operating hotels and more than 80 under development, totaling nearly 12,000 rooms.
