IN THE BUSTLING heart of New York City, a new chapter unfolds for one of the hospitality industry's most dynamic leaders. Lisa Checchio, recently appointed as Chief Commercial Officer at EBG, brings nearly 25 years of transformative experience across travel, hospitality, and professional sports to her new role.

Before joining EBG in January 2025, Lisa made her mark at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. There, she didn't just maintain the status quo – she revolutionized it. Her "by Wyndham" endorsement strategy unified the company's diverse portfolio of brands under a recognizable banner, strengthening brand identity across nearly 9,000 hotels in 90 countries.

Perhaps most impressively, she transformed Wyndham Rewards into an award-winning juggernaut, doubling its size in just five years and surpassing 100 million members. The program consistently earned recognition as the "#1 Best Hotel Loyalty Program" by both USA Today and US News & World Report under her leadership.

What truly distinguishes Lisa is her commitment to creating pathways for others. While at Wyndham, she spearheaded "Women Own the Room," an initiative that has already celebrated 15 open hotels, more than 50 signings, and built a community exceeding 550 members.

This dedication to inclusion extends beyond her corporate responsibilities. In 2020, Lisa joined the American Hotel & Lodging Association board of directors as part of the most diverse leadership team in the association's century-long history. She has previously served as a board member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, and as a trustee of the charitable foundations of both industry bodies.

Lisa's journey through the hospitality landscape began with an 11-year tenure at JetBlue Airways, where she directed brand strategy and oversaw marketing programs and strategic partnerships. This aviation background gave her a unique perspective on customer experience that transcends traditional hospitality approaches.

Now at EBG, which powers e-commerce platforms delivering exclusive deals from the world's top brands with a reach exceeding 100 million users, Lisa oversees marketing and creative services, loyalty programs, corporate sales, customer experience, data analytics, and communications.

As she settles into her role at EBG, Lisa continues to serve her community as a Board Member for Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home, demonstrating that true leadership extends beyond the boardroom.

With her economics degree from the George Washington University (where she was also a member of the women's tennis team) and her proven ability to drive transformation, Lisa Checchio isn't just participating in the evolution of hospitality marketing – she's actively shaping its future.
