Fern Residency opens in Kerala

The 50-key The Fern Residency Thekkady, Series by Marriott is now open in Thekkady, Kerala, India. It marks the 12th operational property in South India.

The hotel is in Kumily, Thekkady, near Cochin International Airport and Kottayam Railway Station. It is also near Kumily Bus Stand and provides access to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and other attractions in Thekkady. It features a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities, a swimming pool and recreational amenities for family, corporate, social and leisure stays, The Fern said in a statement.

“Thekkady is a destination with strong demand from leisure and family travelers,” said Suhail Kannampilly, The Fern’s managing director and chairman. “The property offers comfortable accommodations, dining options and meeting spaces for travelers visiting the destination.”


Jose Mathew, Maria Shopping complex managing director, said Thekkady attracts travelers interested in nature, wildlife and the region’s culture.

“The hotel offers modern accommodation and facilities for leisure, corporate and social stays,” Mathew said.

Recently, The Fern opened the 64-key The Fern Residency Godhra, Series by Marriott in Gujarat.
