The opening marks the first hotel for IHG Hotels & Resorts’ voco brand’s in San Diego and its third property in Southern California. The renovation updated the guest rooms, bathrooms, lobby and exterior, Pacifica said in a statement.
The hotel is near Fletcher Cove Beach, Torrey Pines Golf Course and Del Mar Racetrack. Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, F&B options and an on-site market.
San Diego-based Pacifica is a division of Pacifica Companies, founded by Ashok Israni, with its Indian operations based in Gujarat.
“Voco is all about character and personal touches, which makes it the perfect fit for Solana Beach,” said Sushil Israni, Pacifica managing partner. “We’re proud to bring San Diego’s first voco hotel to Solana Beach, near the beach and local attractions.”
Separately, ALPS Group of Hotels is converting a former Four Points by Sheraton in San Diego into The Goldfinch Hotel.
