U.S. HOTEL METRICS improved in the week ended July 18 from both the previous week and a year earlier, according to CoStar. Washington, D.C., posted the largest occupancy gain, up 7 percent to 78.3 percent.
Occupancy rose to 72.4 percent for the week ended July 18 from 67.6 percent the previous week and was up 1.1 percentage points year over year. ADR increased to $174.49 from $166.04, up 5.2 percent year over year, while RevPAR rose to $126.33 from $112.18, up 6.3 percent from the same week in 2025.
Among the top 25 markets, New York City posted the largest ADR and RevPAR gains, with ADR up 41.5 percent to $425.03 and RevPAR up 40.3 percent to $377.07. On July 18, the night before the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, ADR jumped 105.1 percent and RevPAR 116.1 percent.
Helped by continued World Cup tourism, Miami posted the second-largest ADR gain, up 26.7 percent to $212.74.
Dallas, which hosted the France-Spain semifinal, posted the second-largest RevPAR gain, up 26.6 percent to $96.81 and the third-largest ADR gain, up 21.5 percent to $144.41.
