ACCOR LTD. AND Sri Bhramara Group are developing a $26 million Novotel beachfront hotel in Gavinivaripalem, near Chirala in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla district. The project is expected to be one of the largest internationally branded hotels on the state's coast.

Sri Bhramara Group Chairman and Managing Director Galla Ramachandra Rao and Accor Vice President for Business Development in India and South Asia Balvinder Sahrawat signed the agreement at a ceremony in Aerocity, New Delhi, on Friday, the companies said in a joint statement.

The hotel will be built on a 3.15-acre site overlooking the Bay of Bengal with 225 to 250 rooms and suites. It will include multiple restaurants, banquet and conference facilities, a swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center and landscaped recreation areas.

The project will strengthen Andhra Pradesh's coastal tourism infrastructure while attracting private investment and supporting economic growth, the statement said. It is expected to create direct and indirect jobs, boost the local economy and position Chirala as a beach tourism destination in India.

The property will cater to leisure and business travelers, destination weddings, conferences and family vacations. Once completed, the Novotel Chirala Beachfront Hotel is expected to attract domestic and international visitors. It also reflects continued investment in coastal tourism as demand for leisure and business travel grows.

Separately, Accor signed Novotel Lucknow Convention Centre, a 160-room hotel in Lucknow, India, scheduled to open in 2031. Sahrawat was recently promoted to oversee portfolio expansion and new hotel signings.
