- Wyndham signed 11 hotels in India in H1.
- Most signings came from new owners.
- 150-plus hotels are operating, in development.
WYNDHAM HOTELS & RESORTS signed 11 hotels across India in the first half of 2026. Most signings came from ownership groups new to Wyndham.
India remains one of Wyndham’s fastest growing and largest development markets globally, the company said in a statement. Driven by growth in travel and tourism, middle-class mobility and domestic demand, India presents long-term opportunities.
"Most of our recent signings have come from ownership groups new to Wyndham, reflecting the strength of our owner-first approach and the appeal of our brands across the country," said Rahool Macarius, Wyndham market managing director for Eurasia.
The company now has more than 150 hotels operating and in development across India, the statement said. In the first half of 2026, it expanded into pilgrimage cities with the opening of Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya and entered another destination in Nepal with Ramada by Wyndham Itahari Pashupati Marg.
Separately, Wyndham posted a strong second quarter, with U.S. growth exceeding expectations and its global hotel pipeline reaching a record high. International performance remained weaker. The company operates more than 9,300 hotels across nearly 95 countries.
