STONEBRIDGE COS. WILL manage the Kimpton hotel under development in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. The 216-key property, developed by The Domain Cos., is expected to open in early 2028.
The 10-story hotel will include a fitness center, 7,000 square feet of meeting space with a ballroom, boardroom and pre-function areas, as well as indoor and outdoor terraces, the company said in a statement. Stonebridge, based in Denver and founded by Navin Dimond, is led by CEO Rob Smith.
“This project represents the type of asset where Stonebridge can create value through execution and a commercial strategy,” said Smith. “A Kimpton in this location, with this level of design, food and beverage programming and brand backing, is positioned to outperform its competitive set. Our focus will be on building a ramp-up strategy that maximizes rate, drives demand segmentation and delivers long-term returns for ownership.”
The hotel will be near the Convention Center, Delta Center, Pioneer Park and City Creek Center, the statement said. Salt Lake City International Airport is about 15 minutes away. Smith Entertainment Group is developing a sports and entertainment district anchored by a renovated Delta Center, home to the Utah Jazz and the Utah Mammoth.
Matt Schwartz, co-CEO of The Domain, said the project will bring a hotel experience to downtown Salt Lake City and set a new standard for hospitality in the market.
“We are partnering with Stonebridge, which has experience operating luxury and lifestyle hotels with food and beverage programs,” he said.
Stonebridge recently selected Otelier as its planning and analytics platform to support budgeting, financial reconciliations and night audit compliance.
