New Red Roof properties open in Virginia, New York

Two Red Roof hotels recently opened: The dual-branded Red Roof Inn Richmond and HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Richmond, Virginia, are now open, alongside the HomeTowne Studios & Conference Center Cortland in Cortland, New York.

The Richmond property is owned by Jay Sahajanad, LLC, led by Bhavesh Patel. The HomeTowne Studios in Cortland is owned by Central NY Hospitality LLC, with Haman Anand as its president and managing partner.


Virginia's dual-branded property

HomeTowne Studios Richmond offers 49 rooms for extended stays, while the adjacent Red Roof Inn Richmond provides 59 rooms and is pet-friendly. Both properties underwent renovations during their conversion to Red Roof properties.

The hotel is near Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Children's Museum of Richmond, Richmond Raceway, Virginia Credit Union LIVE!, American Civil War Museum at Historic Tredegar and Virginia Commonwealth University, with access to Richmond International Airport and Chesterfield County Airport.

The Cortland hotel 

Central NY Hospitality invested approximately $4.5 million in renovating the 99-room HomeTowne Studios & Conference Center Cortland, which now offers meeting facilities including two conference rooms that can fit more than 60 people each, and in the next three to four months they expect to open a banquet hall with approximately 250 person capacity, Anand said. They also plan to open a restaurant and bar on the property next year.

Other amenities include a business center, an indoor pool and a fitness facility.

Central NY Hospitality also owns the 50-room Red Roof Inn Cortland nearby. The HomeTowne Studios is near 1890 House, Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, CNY Living History Center, Cortland Country Music Park, SUNY – Cortland, Shipwreck Golf Amusement Park, and Cornell University. Nearby airports include Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport, Greater Binghamton Airport, Syracuse Hancock International Airport, and Elmira - Corning Regional Airport.

In December, Red Roof opened the Roof Inn Hutchins in Hutchins, Texas. The 41-room hotel is owned and operated by Jay Patel, who was introduced to Red Roof by a friend and existing franchisee.
